More stamps on TV

I have an antenna TV out in my garage and I was tuned to this awesome new channel called decades TV. They are running a series binge of Mission Impossible . I just caught the tail end of the episode but Leonard Nimoy was posing as an Australian trying to buy an 18th century english stamp with some information inscribed on a microdot on the stamp.

Do you mean 19th century? The "penny black" made its debut in 1840.

Sorry I meant to say 1800's but typed 18th century instead. Unfortunately the plot focused more on the spy angle and kind of glossed over the stamp , it was only a plot device .
