Questions about packing cards to mail in

Looking to get cards in the mail this week. Just a few questions to confirm I'm doing it correctly.

1. For the Club Special #1, I write 50-Days on the outside of the box, correct?
2. How strictly do you follow this? http://www.psacard.com/Submissions/ShipGuide Do I have to really tape up the whole box?

Thanks

    Yes

You do not have to use brown tape but if you choose to you can ship it with insurance cheaper through USPS. I believe it is called registered mail.

Using card savers is a must and packing the cards in between cardboard and wrapping with bubble wrap is definitely how you want to send them in. I believe on my first submission I didn't as I was a novice but have ever since.

If you are not sending in a lot of cards you might choose to use a padded bubble mailer and your order won't get kicked back. PSA just wants the cards to not get damaged in the mailing process.

Since you are sending in 50 cards or more break them up into smaller blocks and wrap them heavily. If you want to have less movement in the box adding loose bubble wrap or toilet paper works.

Make sure you don't forget to sign twice on your order form.

    Good luck.

I also put the smaller blocks in zip lock baggies just in case the package gets really wet for some reason.

    Thanks guys,

Great idea with the Ziploc baggies. My only concern was the taping of the entire box with brown packing tape. I didn't remember doing that for my first submission and I didn't have any issues. As for cardboard and bubble wrap, that part is already done.

    Thanks again,

I used to do the brown paper tape... that stuff was horrible. Never sent it registered mail, only because it's even slower than first class. Now I stick to USPS Priority Flat Rate boxes. If I have something really expensive, I send it USPS Express Mail. My philosophy is, the less time it spends in the hands of the USPS, the better. Use a box slightly bigger than what you think you need, and use plenty of bubble wrap. I put my cards in stacks of ~20, and sandwich my CS1's in thick cardboard, rubber banded, and bubble wrapped. I put my cards in order of my enclosed list. I write on every side of the box, for example: "CC Special #1 - 50 Days" or "CC Renewal Voucher". If you don't write on the outside of the box, it really prolongs your order.
