eBay gift cards

For those of you who like to pick these up, there is an offer of $100 eBay gift card for $95. I used the remainder of my eBay bucks to pay for part of one for myself. 5% discount built into my next purchase.

    just an extra thought on ebay gift cards:

    Kroger has all gift cards at 2X fuel points - one dollar = 1 fuel point, 100 fuel points gets you $0.10 off per gallon of gas. Every once in a while they have 4X fuel points specials. So you can get 400 fuel points for $100 worth of gift cards which gets you $0.40 off per gallon of gas at a Kroger gas station.

    You need a kroger card and have to be on the lookout for the 4X fuel points specials and load the coupon to your card. And of course you need a Kroger gas station that's convenient for you. Also, not all Kroger stores sell ebay cards but this works for all gift cards.

    Our local Giant Eagle chain has a similar "Fuel Perks" plan, where you would receive $0.20 off per gallon (limit 30 gallons) for every $50 you spend. Giant Eagle USED TO sell Ebay gift cards, and it happened to be at the same time that Bing 20% cash back program was running. During that whole Bing promotion, I would buy Ebay gift cards $500 at a time from Giant Eagle to get the $60 in free gas. Then I would turn around and sell those $500 in Ebay gift cards ON Ebay for sometimes over $600!! Not only was I making a profit on the front end (gas), I was making money on the back end (auction profit after fees), and the buyer would make money from the 20% cash back program (would end up under $500 after their cash back).

    That was such a racket, but I had so many months of free gas, and I used every drop of it since I had a 42 gallon tank in my truck. Good times... lol

    Tim and effe--You are welcome. This deal is pretty good. Unfortunately I just went back to buy another one and it said it was sold out. I think this happened last time and it went live again after a period of being sold out. Last week there was a $150 for $145 eBay gift card deal. I am glad I waited. The other deal was also for a plastic gift card to be mailed, which was another reason I didn't want to order then. I've never had problems with the digital versions, so I am glad to have the $5 discount built into my next purchase.
