Declared Value question

Hey guys,

For those of you who submit 1983 Topps or similar cards for grading. What do you put down as your declared value for commons? I know I can get an idea from Ebay and the SMR, but I just wanted to see what you guys do before I send in my order. Would a declared value of $1 be too little for a mere nobody common that I can get from Ebay for 50¢?

    I think I would put enough to cover the grading fees.
