As for my nomiations, I'd say cardmyou and Derrick. Bobstar, you're a nice guy, but thito does make a good point about how you do sometimes claim to take the high road but then insult people.

I think a few good moderators is all this boards needs but not some power tripping bible thumper. I think the cussing has gotten out of had but i can just see a certian person banning someone cause they dont like the slang that comes out of a persons pie hole. I think some thicker skin is needed.
You need someone with a more neutral position and not someone who is on a vendetta. I don know duncangal but she seems like a good candidate from what ive seen of her postings.
But really i dont care as this place will never be as safe or close to being safe as TR or CE. Not being able to post a thiefs name and addy is total horse dung. So this place will be a haven for rippers just like beckett.com. But this is a good thing for TR and CE as we can witness firsthand who not to let in.

Alot of people are nominating others...no one wants to toot their own horn it seems...and while i am not selfish, i would like to volunteer...I think I could fill one of the positions very nicely...and Carol did say volunteer/nominate...so i would like consideration...ive been here forever, and i am in good standing with next to everyone...plus, i can contribute alot of time to this place, as i really have nothing else to do...please consider this a campaign, as i would very much like to step up my role and seriously help out around here
There are, as some have said, many things we need to do to improve this board. But this is a S - T - E - P in the right direction. We can't ever do it all at once. And as for other sites being great and blah, blah, blah. Sure, they may have fewer problems but I'm certain they have their own. Although I too disagree with the fact we cannot post certain things about bad traders, sometimes these threads get way out of hand. And the swearing for the most part isn't a big problem until we either get a fight or some childish person returning under a different name to trash the boards. We all have been involved in the sillyness at some point. Please excuse me for pointing this out and maybe I saw it wrong, but when this juniorbuggles guy came a flapping his jaws on here about a particular person, even the person that some declare is the best of us was offering cards to help determine who it was. I'm not saying that it really means anything. I'm just saying the post should have just been ignored altogether. We all react childishly at times. I've done the same thing many times. I will not say I am perfect. I've tried to react maturely most of the time, but I'm not always sucessful either. That is why this board needs more than 1 moderator. This is a trial as I am to assume. If one of the nominated moderators is being way too strict, I'm guessing that with enough griping (which I know we are all good at) we might be able to remove someone and replace them with another....

Second Eric, What is a power tripping bible thumper? Is it a Christian, if so I cannot be a moderator, I will be disqualified. But I must have thicker skin then Carol, cause some of the stuff she pulled I had no problem with. You are right the cussing is unnecessary. I'm not sure what duncangal was talking about in her post (Last night was a shameful thing to witness ), I fortunately was not on when it was. But I'm sure it was uncalled for and this was not the place for it. The stuff I would have not pulled was that betting post, there was a lot of good comments in with that post from many members here, but I'm not sure what the final straw was, it was pulled before I read it.
Why are so many people from CE and TR and other places, but these are the two you mentioned members here? I'm a member of as many trade group as will accept me, but I'm not gonna go to another group and claim one place will never be as safe or close to being safe as another. I have my favorite ones which is SCF, but I'm not gonna put the others down just to recruit others to my favorite trade group. I'm a member of CE a great place, I have applied at TR a place I have heard many great thing about, I'm guess they are pretty busy checking applicants cause I have not heard from them yet. But the same day I applied at TR, I also applied at SportsTrading, and I want to thank you guys for getting right on it and accepting me. Plus The scan pages space you provides me as a member is really nice, thanks. So if anyone is not happy here or anywhere else, it serves no purpose putting a trade group down, if you really think your favorite site is safe you are only fooling yourself and what are you doing wasting you time at a site which is in your words "haven for rippers just like beckett.com.". Sorry I cannot comment on beckett.com, I'm a Member their, for the online price guide, but I do not recall ever posting their. So one of the best tools for trading anywhere, I have found is check their refeances, don't just assume they are good refeances just because they are listed with a trader and if you still feel something wrong, do not make the trade.

Sure its a great place to trade but you REALLY have to do your homework on the guy your about to deal with. Now if your new to online trading and dont know that you cant trust anyone then your going to get screwed. And again there are alot of new people that come here every day and some are dirtbags for the very begining and others are new traders. Its only fair to try and keep the new traders from getting ripped off and the only way of doing that is to post a rippers name and addy if you know a person on this site is bad. Posting a person email addy is worthless as it can be changed in seconds.
I never bashed CU untill recently as i liked this place. But with all the garbage that has gone on here in the last few months its a pit. And banning someone from posting a name and addy of a thief is really stupid. I want to see moderators here and this should have been done along time ago. I hope it works out.

When (and it will) things get nasty over hurt feelings of someone feeling jilted over not getting a mod job and everyones pi**ing and moaning and leaving,Just come on over to CE...We've been up since Feb. and already have more members than this forum..Not to mention we never have any of the BS that goes on here cause we stated up front that it would'nt fly..So there are rarely problems..And when a problem does occur we don't hesitate to pull the trigger. ie. Ban for life..
i'd especially like to see THito and Derrick over there you dudes are buds and I think you'd dig what we;ve done on CE...
I also came up with a few more folks that would make good CU mods...
In additon to Duncangal, I think Derrick would make a good Mod. as well as Johnsauc.. I don't think anyone who was'nt one of the original members from last summer should even be considered because there is too much board history that they dont even know about....

While I'm honored you nominated me, I respectfully decline any opportunity to mod these boards as I ultimately feel this place is "circling the drain", If Carol & Co are overwehelmed I find it remote that any board members can save the day short of banning people which this board seems reluctant to do in the first place. It'll be same-o same-o, with the only difference that a couple of board members get to sit in the driver's seat for a little bit.
