        Do like the obverse of the 39D especially. Reverse looks alright, probably considerably better in person. That kind of toning is hard to capture.

      • Sorry, Ken, I don't want to let you down! It was your post about the NGC mercs you traded away that got me curious about my secret stash in the first place. It was various board members in the first place that got me interested in toning. Then I actually bought a coin for it's color; thanks Typetone, I like that '56 Washington more than ever.

        Here are the scans I posted over in the coin forum so you don't have to go searching.

        I actually was buying lots of NGC Mercury dimes, many from Teletrade. I got this one sight unseen and didn't like it much when I first saw it. My how I have change image

                  Here's a toned '45-S that I added to my set recently. I usually prefer blast white, but really liked the colors on this one. The photo doesn't do justice to the obverse.
