Well, we talk a lot on here about cards, packs, and autographs, but I thought I'd share with everyone here my first PSA10, pop 1, and 1/1, my son. He was born 12 weeks early on St Patricks Day, but is doing well in the NICU right now. We've had the best doctors and nurses helping us through the process and while he has to stay in the NICU until he is full term, we are so blessed.
His name is Cooper as a tribute to Cooperstown, NY. My wife and I visited the Hall of Fame over the past summer and settled on the name Cooper if it were a boy. I wanted him to have a baseball themed name and I am already so excited to take him back to the HOF and tell him about the players of my grandfather's days, my father's days, and my day. Also, decided that when he is old enough, his first pack to rip will be a 1975 topps "mini" pack, as he was born 12 weeks early, and is already getting the nickname "mini-cooper", so thought that a 75 mini would be a choice As he grows up, I'm excited to share with him my collection of baseball cards, packs, and will probably still be working on my 1956 topps set, so I'm sure he can help me with that! Maybe it will be done by the time he gets to graduation....ha ha
Well, just wanted to share a few pictures as well, and if you could say a prayer for Cooper as he continues his journey in the NICU, I'd appreciate it as well...
And...hopefully, Cooper will see the Cubs win a world series!!
Jeremy
UPDATE: 04/11/15
Cooper and mom are doing well in Iowa City, IA. He is up to three pounds and mom and dad are eagerly awaiting his return home (around June 5th) With being a CPA, time away from family has been tough but I was able to spend easter with the little guy. He specifically requested a picture of a ryne sandberg rookie and since he is a premie, a 75 mini pack!
I'll have to post pictures later as I'm having trouble uploading from photobucket.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Thanks for sharing.
FYI Cooperstown was founded by the father of the famous author James Fennimore cooper who lived in Cooperstown.
I was born in 1959 at just under 2 1/2 lbs. Back then preemies like that didn't survive often.
Dad said I could fit head to toe on his hand.
His dad had died when he was 9 and his grandfather (my great) took over some fatherly duties and was very close to
my dad. He was very sick when I was in the hospital for 3+ months in an incubator.
Every day he would ask "how is the boy."
On the day they told him I would make it...he died. Dad said he hung on just to find out......
Dad said all the nurses would come in every dad and check up on me.
He had just recently been discharged from the U S Navy and didn't have any money and no health insurance.
Not one doctor gave him a bill and the entire bill from the hospital for 3+ months was $750
Coincidently the exact amount he inherited from his grandfather.
So there is some good in everything and I believe your son is headed to greatness and a life of extreme happiness.
