Always excited to see this message from USPS, especially related to an item I really never thought I'd have an opportunity to add to my collection.
Special thanks to the seller for making it available and for answering my countless questions! Endless thanks to Tim (Grote15) for helping me to validate with some awesome subject matter expertise! As promised, drinks are on me at the National for your consulting services!
Wish I could leave the office early and be home when it arrives! Will take photos and post here ASAP.

Can't wait to see what you got. You should move to the east coast so you can get home from work sooner. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to meet up with you this year in Chicago as I missed you in Cleveland. The HOF was cool though.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>Also anxious to see what you picked up. If Tim helped you, it's either something unopened or old photos from one of the NYC Boroughs. My guess is unopened! >>
Michael, congrats on the purchase and thanks for your kind words. Looking forward to seeing pics!
Doug,
Old photos?? LOL!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I'll be home in a few hours!
Yep - It's unopened. Not ready to say what it is just yet since I still can't believe it's in the box at my house!
Mike - Looking forward to catching up with you in Chicago as well. Probably walked by each other multiple times in Cleveland!
Awesome photo Tim - Is that Genco Olive Oil down the street?
However, tim isn't a hockey guy but knows his trays so if it's not something hockey unopened its probably baseball and thus likely a very old wax tray, 69 maybe???
This was so much fun - wanted to capture it every step of the way!
The box was waiting for me when I got home
Well packaged with lots of peanuts!
The anticipation is starting to build!
Almost as fun as opening my Christmas presents as a kid!
I can see the holder edges now - I think it's actually in here!
Let me say now that I never expected having an opportunity to secure more than a wrapper from this issue, which I've been searching for years to acquire. The pack was never even part of my thought process, and even through a month of negotiations, I still never actually thought I could secure it.
Okay - here it is!
Wow - so much nicer than in the photos
Thanks so much for sharing in the excitement with me!

Did I leave anything out?
Come on, PSA - start grading those big suckers!
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
Agreed it would be awesome for PSA to start grading tallboy packs. I'd be amongst the first in line!
1970's - Are those gorgeous packs part of your collection? WOW!
I have to be honest, I zoned out a little when you said you would buy Tim a beer at the National. Is Tim coming to the Natty?
I collect: 80’s Rookies and 86 Fleer Basketball
<< <i>Tim is a wealth of knowledge and is generous in sharing it with those who ask. We are lucky to have him here on the boards. >>
Yeah, but you don't have to get stuck going out with him and a few other guys for a few beers and wings!
