Autograph help

Can anyone make out what this says. I just bought it with the assumption the signature was of a nobody and hoping to get it Slabbed with just an MK qualifier. The ticket is a 1973 kentuckey derby ticket. The front looked good and would present better than the psa 3 I already have so took a shot since the price was cheaper than raw ones that didn't look as good to me. Thanks for any input. The scan isn't the best. I'll try to post something better once I get the ticket in hand.

Dont know who it is, but I think it may be signed this way:

Just looked at all the jockeys and trainers from the Derby that day ... doesn't seem to be any of them.

Almost looks like Burt Hooten the ex MLBer but not quite unless he's changed his signature since then.

It's a longshot but it might be Bill Hartack, 5-time Ky Derby winning jockey. I've never actually seen his autograph.

I can give you a couple of leads, the Kentucky Derby Museum has the collection of the late Jim Bolus, who knew everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about the Kentucky Derby since it's inception. I think the curator there is named Chris Good something...the museum should have a Hartack exemplar somewhere in their collection.

The other would be Jon White at HRTV.com who is a walking encyclopedia of horse racing. He's a real personable guy and loves horse racing history. If he doesn't know he might be able to point you in the right direction.

Not an exact match for sure, but the T is crossed very similiar to Ron Turcotte's signature. The R is similar as well. I'm far from an expert though and it looks like there is other "noice" for it to be his. Let us know if you follow up with MooseDog's suggestions.

I'm pretty sure the auto is actor Robert Horton. I'm not sure he has anything to do with horse racing. Do you think I could just get the ticket slabbed without any mention of the auto and just get a MK qualifier?
