    Yes, I use real dollars/halves/silver eagles etc.

    I just make them in my basement in my spare time, so I always have one or two 'in progress'. I guess if I were to start one and work straight through from coin to finished ring, for a silver dollar it would probably take me a couple of hours. Halves tend to go a little quicker than that.
    Need to finish my Kennedys and Jeffersons!
