Baltimore Area Card Shops?

Any good ones around anymore, especially up in Baltimore county? Used to go to Jay's on York Road up near Timonium. Looks like he is long gone. Went to Robbie's First Base a few years back but it really is not a sports store. I miss Robbie's tv show though and Robbie was great to talk to!

Cottage Antiques in Ellicott City has a good selection of vintage memorabilia (won't find any shiny stuff).

I've only been to two in this area. This one is in Reisterstown, next to Bill Batemans:

    Cards Comics & Collectibles
    100 Chartley Dr
    Reisterstown, MD 21136

Only about 10% of the store is for cards, though. Most of the space is devoted to comic books. They have some raw vintage baseball but no football, which is mostly what I collect. They have modern packs and sealed boxes of football and baseball, might even have basketball and hockey (I've never looked for the latter two). They also have a modest selection of supplies. I've never seen any graded cards there.

    This store is pretty good:

    Dugout Zone
    10226 Baltimore National Pike
    Ellicott City, MD 21042

It's on Hwy 40 just west of Centennial Lane. Nice shop, some vintage stuff and plenty of packs and boxes of newer material. They tend to know the card product lines pretty well, can give you advice on what stuff people are ripping and getting good hits on, for example. Nice selection of supplies. If you buy an annual membership for I think $15 or $20, you get 10% off your purchases.

As expected, they heavily feature Ravens and Orioles items. They have other collectibles like mini helmets, figures, etc, including some older signed jerseys and pics. They only have raw stuff, nothing graded. They also feature Magic the Gathering and Pokemon stuff, and even host Magic tourneys in the back of the shop. They also sell on eBay under the ID dtrini1.

    Enjoy

I've been to all of the shops mentioned above . All have their upside and different from the rest .

One that I stop in now and then is

    Baseball Card Outlet

    7502 Eastern ave .--- @1224

They have some unopened and graded . Mostly shiny stuff . Quite a bit of mid-grade boxes of Baseball , football and Basketball .

They have a great supply section , and I speak highly of their staff , which I think is mostly family .

I mostly get boxes to store my sets , which works out great for me .-------- Sonny

Jays is actually still around. I live like 2 min away. It however is now called great moments on Padonia road right at York road. Under new ownership for quite some time.

    Dugout zone is ok.

Great moments has a fair amount of packs and singles - newer packs mostly. Nothing graded. Mostly autograph pictured and stuff.

But I would love to hear of other places not much around anymore unfortunately image

    Are you from the area?

We are actually from outside Toronto, Canada and have not been down to Baltimore for 3 years. We have been following the O's to Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit (Game 3 of the ALDS last year!), Chicago and Pittsburgh and figured we are LONG OVERDUE for a trip back to Camden Yards. We're coming down for the Braves series in July to appease my 12 year old daughter as she was ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED when Nick Markakis left.
