Seated Liberty Coins in PR-67 DC dollar, half, quarter and dime. I would take them into a well lit room with a 6 pack of Sam Adams Bear and just look at them for an entire weekend.

Hands down, no question about it: 1870-S Seated Dollar, preferably finest known.

I like Bear: He knows just what to do. I would do exactly the same, except I'd bring my loop and maybe a microscope.

I like proofs myself, it would have to be a 1921 Chapman Morgan, in the finest grade (of course)...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

It Would have to be a 1907 Ultra High Relief St Gauden in the highest grade possible. Why not the 1933? It is too beat up.

I did win the lottery about 2 weeks ago. (OK, so it was only $500 on a scratchoff ticket, but that put a big grin on my face!) image

      I paid some bills.

Zep I like your taste in coins! I can't believe I forgot my all time favorite gold pattern the J-1776 and the Rogers 1794 is amazing. image I wonder where they are today???
    23. I'd go for the 1804 Dollar, not sure which exact one yet...

I'd hunt for some Florida Dealer that is offering an AG03 PCI 1964 Kennedy and buy THAT coin. I know that is an almost impossible quest... The rest of the money (if there is anything left) I'd give to Tad so as to spend a nice, long leasurely summer on his remote, deserted island.

Oh. So this is a "dream coin" thread, eh?

For me, a PR65+ RD 1797 British "Cartwheel" 2 pence.
For US coins, an MS63+ Panama-Pacific octagonal $50 gold piece.

      There are others, of course.

Oh. I have to pick ONE? OK, the Pan-Pac, I guess. Or a 1792 half disme. Or better yet, "The Coin", as it is commonly known. The finest-known Chain Cent. (What is it, MS69? I forget). An 1804 dollar wouldn't even make my top 20 list. A 1913 Liberty nickel might make the top 20, but not top ten.

    28. my wife wouldn't allow me/us to buy anything else except for a 16d in MsFB, the higher the grade the happier she would be!

If no 16d could be found, I am not sure, probably just a proof dcam morganimage

If more than one coin could be obtained, I would do my best to corner the market on delaware commem halves. Lottery or no lottery this is a goal anyway!!!

I'd buy the original 1911 Canadian silver dollar, one of the 3 originally minted, and I believe the only one privately owned. Then I'd buy
a yacht and go sailing around the world.

Guys really that 1933 Saint is pretty beat up. I just got Sotheby's Catalog for it in today's mail and it looks like someone tried to open up her belly with a dull knife. Then they tried to hack off her left leg with it. After that they tried to give her a nose job. I am surprised she is still standing at all.

1964 SMS Jefferson Nickel, and I wouldn't be too picky about the grade. Or that lone PR69 1942P Jefferson. Or the PR66DCAM 1942P Jefferson.

Hell, since I'm dreaming I've won the lottery, I'll take' em all!image

I'll take the 1933 $20. I don't care if she has been banged up. She survived the revolution in Egypt in 1952.

Then I would charge PCGS $25K per year for the right to keep it in their slab. image
