Unlike most of you, I'm watching my ebay searches ehhhhhhh...every so often, haha..holy bajolies!!! Please look at the 1951 bowman mantle just posted on ebay...that is just so sick..omg.

    Sweet smoke. That's sharp. That's also 63K in sales tax for a CA buyer.
    52-90 All Sports, Mostly Topps, Mostly HOF, and some assorted wax.

    For that much scratch, it would pay to move out of state!

    My thoughts go back to around 1992.

    I was reading a monthly Beckett and someone bought a PSA 10 52T Mantle for $125,000.

    I thought that was an outrageous amount of money but what do I know.

    A 9? No way.

    The last 9 sold for $220k in 2013. The last PSA 8 went for $49k last year. Just not a lot of them for sale in high grade, and I would guess MLI would take $450-500k for the card. At their asking price you could buy (3) 1952 Mantles in PSA 8.

    Youzers, you could pick up a Mantle and a Honus for that.
