Getting my first mantle. Got it. With pics. Updated

A 1960 topps. Pics and more info will be coming soon. Should have it by Monday hopefully, Tuesday at the latest. Can't give away too much info lol. But it looks nice for the price I paid. It wasn't on eBay. Let's just hope it's as nice in hand. Be back soon....

    I remember my first - a VG-EX 1962 in 1991. Got it at the LCS with a '62 Maris as well.

    Excellent choice! I just picked up a 1960 Mantle as well from a fellow board member. I've always liked this particular card of The Mick because he seems so happy in the photo. I also really like the bold red & yellow colors and how they contrast with the black & green in the background of the main image, and of course it's one of only 2 horizontal Mantle cards Topps issued.

    Congrats, can't wait to see a scan!

    For $40, I don't think you can go wrong. PSA 1s have been selling at $75-80 recently.

    Thanks all. I'll scan it later on after work. I believe it's better in hand. Hell I saw a psa 1 poor selling for 115. Not that it will sell but as you said they've been selling for 75-80. But mostly it's my first non reprint mantle. Couldn't go wrong with it. I like it.

    Next is a very poor 1956. That has to be my favorite mantle card. Has to be a graded poor (as in for $125 or less for a psa 1) for my budget. Pm me if you have that to offer. Thanks
