These have been a couple guys I have had the good fortune to get to know over the past year being on the boards. In the last week each of them has generously sent me really thoughtful hobby gifts. Most recently I had purchased some cards for my 1986 Fleer set from Jim, he sent me a PM saying he added some "throw-ins":
Nothing like an autographed card from a HOFer as a "throw-in". Jim knows I grew up in the Bay Area and that I am a Warriors fan. Mullin and Tim Hardaway were my favorite players growing up so this was a really great gift. There's no way he knew this, but 89 Fleer was the first BK product I ever opened packs of. He also included a note saying he sent these things my way to share with my son which is awesome. I am an unopened collector but I will make an exception and rip this vintage pack with my son (my son has ripped modern packs but now his first vintage pack will be an 89 Fleer too!). To properly price my 89 Fleer cards Jim also included this:
I remember when this issue came out. I still have a copy somewhere in my room at my parent's house. It was cool to thumb through the articles and the price guide. 1986 Fleer Jordan $175!
From Tim, I got this awesome card:
Of course I am a 49er fan but I certainly appreciate the way Russell Wilson plays and acts off the field. I mentioned to Tim that I was a fan of Wilson and I am pretty sure he also knew that Topps Chrome is my favorite current FB product. Excited to have my first graded Wilson card to add to my Andrew Luck collection. I will hide this card from my son so he doesn't decide to jump ship now that we are living in WA and become a part of the 12th man.

My son is a big Russell Wilson fan and he was also the lucky recipient of a graded Wilson card from Tim.
