It's March Madness/tournament time for 2015, baby! Who're you pulling for? Doing any kind of office

I figured with just under a week to go until Selection Sunday as well as the conference tournaments getting underway it'd be a good time to make a March Madness 2015 thread. Last year of course, my Cats lost three of the last four regular season games and many thought we were about done for (which is why I was so excited last year when we beat the teams we did)...yet they overcame a lot and didn't quit and as a result came just six points short of a championship. Luckily we only lost four guys from that squad (two were graduating seniors) and it is obvious that postseason experience has done us quite well so far! Of course it's a lot different this year in that just like with 1978 and 1996, anything short of a national championship would a humiliating embarrassment to say the least.

So you guys know where my allegiance is, what about the rest of you? Who are you pulling for this year? Doing any kind of office pool at your school/workplace?

I work for a school district, and in my department I am the only man. I don't think there will be an office pool.

I suppose I will root for Gonzaga since they are the only school from WA that will be in

Remember way back when Gonzaga was among the most popular Cinderella teams? Somehow I don't think they can play the underdog card this year though I bet by now they must be especially hungry for their first Final Four appearance; maybe we'll get to face them on the big stage, who knows?

Went to high school with the coach of Virginia so I gotta root for them. Would love to see a Wisconsin vs Kentucky rematch in the final four again.

It's Selection Sunday and we're still running the table...just six more to go until we're hanging that giant blue 2015 NCAA championship banner into the ceiling of Rupp Arena!

As Mr. T would have to say about it:

We're gonna be the champs! Cuz we're the best, and we can't be beat, and we won't be beat!

No we certainly don't hate those other teams, but we pity the fools, and we will destroy any team that tries to take what come April 6 will be rightfully ours!

I was happy to see Georgia State win last night. UGA is my school, but I'm not anticipating a huge run...or much honestly, so a win or 2 there would be pretty sweet. That's all I got, no pools/brackets for me this year.

Baylor loss hurt the worst. Had them getting to the elite 8.

Nope, I guess we'll get the Duke boys! I was really looking forward to us giving another beating to Kansas but that's okay, we'll be more than happy to beat up on Wichita State or Notre Dame some more (we used to play the Irish a lot more often). Then perhaps we can once again make quick work of Wisconsin...

What game did you watch last year? It was a one point game with one heck of a shot by Harrison I think. Quick work my butt. Would love to see a WI vs Kentucky to get our revenge. Though we have played like crap that last two games

Wisconsin will give Kentucky a hard time. As will Notre Dame I believe.

Typical Wisconsin last night. Keeping it close but covering on the final free throw !!!!

Glad Notre Dame won. I think they will play tougher than Wichita would have.

I know, for a few moments there I was getting pretty worried...

And Notre Dame should be a fun matchup...didn't we used to play them every year or something a few decades ago?

And as for that WV player who predicted they'd beat us? Poor fellow, in the famous words of Beavis' tombstone in their adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", he never scored.

I went to the games at the Q last night, Kentucky was very impressive to say the least. I didn't really care who won the game, but I was hoping to see a competitive matchup. Maybe the Irish can give them a game tomorrow night. ND should at least have a taller lineup than WV did.

Now the fans from each team were a different story...

You know we used to play the Irish every year until 1983, then 1988-97, and and 2001-04. In fact, would you believe we have played them more than we have played either Clown U (Indiana) or Loserville? Maybe that would a be a fun annual match up to get going again...though I think we need to get Clown U back on our schedule first.

So what exactly happened with our fans? I mean I wasn't there in person so...
