$4 over Spot was the premium today (silver)

Went to a show today and because Spot is let's say rounded off to $16, the magic number was $4 over Spot.
This was for 1 & 10 oz silver bars generic to Engelhard, didn't matter.
For ASE's whether you bought 1 or 100.
1 dealer had Kilo Johnson Matthey bars for $700.

The one exception I found was $19/round for 1987 Engelhard 1 oz prospectors, and I couldn't even pull the trigger on that. image

Common date Peace and 1921 Morgans...the cheapest I saw was $22/coin.
AU slider 1921 Morgans...$27/coin image
UNC (not BU) 1921 Morgans...$34/coin.
Pre-1921 AU Morgan Dollars...$35/coin

90% Halves (no culls)...$12.50 x face. Quarters & Dimes were $12 x face.

Hope this helps to gauge what dealers in the Chicagoland area are asking IN PERSON. To be shipped would be more.

That's some hefty preems. Gotta be careful with the prospectors, lots of counties out there. Good report, thanks.

I went to a show today and I seen very little silver, I think some of the dealers did not bring it. One dealer had 2015 silver eagles for $21.

What do you suppose his cost was? If you paid $19, $3 over aint gonna make you no money.

At a coin show this weekend up here in Canada I was selling Maples at $3.90 over spot, generic 10 ozers at +$2.90 and generic 1 oz at +$3.40. BU condition "junk" silver dollars and halves at 12% over melt. Sold a fair bit, as those are decent prices up here. My prices on junk were the best at the show, maples near best (or probably the best after a dealer or two sold out) and average on the generic.
