For bullion check Monarch. Cash or certified check made out to them. No checks or CC. They are major bullion dealers in the area.
    Downtown try Rust Coins.

Certified moderns and raw classics try Legacy.

If you get to Sugar House look for All About Coins. Not much bullion but everything else. Limited parking but you can enjoy the Trolly.

Two other shops probably not worth your time
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?

Mr. Paseo, all respect to you but I believe he wanted personal recommendations.

Ya, you're right, my bad for blocking all the responses that he got... How many did he get? One?

I figured if he was out an about in an unfamiliar city and he wanted to find a coin shop that maybe having some choices would help him out... It's not always easy searching on your phone. My bad for providing more than what he requested... you know, since he got one response.

I think this classifies in the, "if you don't have anything helpful to contribute then just move on" category.

    Ha, you guys.

Thanks for the recommendations and google-fu. Unfortunately I was in the classes and events long past any of the hours of operations of any of them. And not having a rental car and hoofing it on the other side of town kept me from even being able to pop in for a quick stop to check any of them out.

Back to the ATL today, so no Utah metal for me. I did get to stop into the Scottish Import store and picked up a new Kangol though, so at least I got something.
