eCheck payments

I wasn't aware of what an eCheck was until yesterday when I decided to learn about it while placing my order with JM Bullion.
Sumbitted the order, gave them my routing and checking account (via secure protocol and the warranty that the info are not stored) and in a couple of hours got the email that my payment was received.
It will take few days to remove the hold, of course, but it still saves me the days to have the paper check shipped and received by them.
I like it!

Was this your first transaction with them or about how long have you been with them? i ask because about 1-2 months ago they said i qualified to use echecks. I've been sending them checks for less than a year.
Didn't know if you have to qualify with a history of a certain number of successful checks clearing or they now offer it to anyone initially using a paper check.
I think they approve whomever has done few transactions with them.
I have been a customer for few months only, one year max.
Provident should offer this service as well. They usually are slower than JM and Apmex cashing paper checks.
That said, I do use my checking account to pay certain bills (Not many) and I do have my checking account attached to a few paypal accounts.
<< <i>I just log on to my bank and type in the info of the people that I am buying from into a mock check. They cut a check the same day and get it in the mail (No postal cost to me). Most people process right away because the check is directly from the bank. I have no problem waiting for my purchases because I am not a flipper.

I used to do that as well with BillPay. The difference is just 3/4 days, not a big deal. But since it costs me nothing to accelerate, I'd rather have my order sooner than later!
