  • I got the email also. What is that saying about supply and demand? By the time they pay ebay, PayPal fees and postage you would thing they could sell it to dealers. Not real promising on their expected direction of gold.

    Ebay lisiting

Limit 5 per buyer, will sell out quickly. If you're on the fence, jump.

    Thanks mariner67

I jumped and purchased 2. Not as good a deal as the 2 coronas yesterday but I liked the final net of $1,170 each after Mr. Rebates and CC.image

Maybe they were tipped on the Non Farm Report Numbers due out tomorrow.

All I can say is I hope it backfires on them and not me since I scooped up two more ounces.

I don't believe you get Mr. Rebates on bullion.

You certainly do. I left some $$$ on the table before I saw/learned the light. When you log in to eBay thru MrRebates it says no rebates on bullion, but I found that that isn't true.

It's so cheap, I think I'll buy some and run to the refinery when it goes up. image
  • These are about $20 oz cheaper at this time than when first posted yesterday. Big boys always seem to get the better end of these "deals".

    Now $30 cheaper.

BIN now at $1,187.28 with over 3700 sold.

Wow...to bad I'm tapped out, otherwise I would be taking advantage of this sale. My guess, a lot of small bullion & coin dealers, along with their families will be buying the max of 2 per buyer ... they sure can't get it any cheaper from their wholesalers or suppliers...

Credit to Rawteam for yesterdays call of "Yea jump off and run away fast as you can... "

I have to believe that a select few are privileged to have information well in advance of the public.
Out of the kindness of their hearts they were selling at spot. Yeah right.
Call it manipulation, call it advance notice, we all don't get to play on the same field, that much is certain.

I'm glad I didn't end up pulling the trigger the other day. Now things are on "sale" and I find myself gun shy for further drops.

I was already in the gold trending down camp, I just thought it would be at a slow pace.

Perhaps special sale prices on gold at Apmex is just a signal to short gold in the paper market. image

Anyone putting that theory to the test?

I will be happy with the 2 ounces I purchased yesterday.
  • lseeconlseecon Posts: 318 ✭✭
Apmex not stupid. They aren't gonna sell at spot to the public unless they know that gold is gonna sharply decline soon. They had Alison of inventory they didn't want to be stuck with.
    Live and learn.

Price now at $1,168.99 with over 4900 oz sold. I believe they may be selling these on consignment for Valcambi for a fee...no loss or gain to APMEX. No bullion dealer would have that many "on hand."

That's entirely possible. If one can afford to sit on them it may not be a bad buy.
