Will PSA grade these cards?

My assumption is that because they are made by topps that they will but not positive.

Just curious, why wouldn't they grade them? They just look like some kind of topps commemorative cards.

I dont have much experience sending in cards for grading but I didnt see them in the SMR. When i called to ask if they would grade them I was told to see if they were listed in the SMR.

I'm not seeing the 89 and 90 topps graded in the pop report but I'd still assume they would be graded. Assuming they update it, you may have the first to be graded.

I have probably submitted several hundred if not a thousand items now that were the first of their set to be graded (I send in a lot of oddball foreign stuff).

Calling in advance will not do much good. Checking SMR will do less. What you'll need to do in order to maximize your chances of having it returned to you graded instead of N9'd is when filling out the electronic order form, in the note line below the item (not the note section at the bottom that is for the order in its entirety), paste in a URL with any set info, checklist and scans you can find on the internet. That will work more often than it won't. Worst case, they send them back to you ungraded but they don't charge you for N9. I've had some items that took maybe upwards of 10 times subbing before they were finally graded, so don't lose hope if it does not work the first time.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but love those cards... some of my favorite Cubs in Dawson and Dunston.

I contacted PSA yesterday about whether they will grade the 1970 Topps Story Books. I got an email today saying they should get back with me in a couple of days.

I am hoping they say YES!

I believe PSA will not grade these because you can't open them and see all pages at once (like you can with the 1970 Topps Scratchoffs for example).

SGC grades these though, as well as the similar hockey story ones too.
