Ugh. "Reprint" 1986 Lakeland Smoltz PSA Slabbed

I'm surprised the seller doesn't know it's slabbed fake as he has a lot of really great high-end minor league cards including many of the high-end HOF'ers of 1986 ProcCards. It's all in the font on the front. Check it against any other graded 1986 Smoltz on eBay. These are usually found in GEM slabs, not PSA slabs!

Fake 1986 ProCards Lakeland Smoltz

I'd bet my house that the 1986 copyright on the back has the tell-tale 8 in 1986. The circles in the 8 should be "plump" and not perfectly round as I bet they are perfectly round on this card. I've never seen these reprints come with a team set, so that should be your first warning. Never seen a common with that font yet either.

It's real now and forever unless of course someone buys it and sets it free.

It was graded relatively recently too, recently enough that I'd have expected PSA to have had sufficient data in their research dept. to prevent this from happening and it is disappointing that these slip through.

Not like it is subtle confusion; like you said, the front font is very obvious to pick out as wrong on these fakes.

they have trouble with minor league cards. the 1986 memphis bo jackson continually even today still gets graded incorrectly(the reprint gets graded) i have told joe o. but obviously these cards just aren't on their radar.
Work hard and you will succeed!!

In a case such as this does PSA get involved to take it off the market to protect the integrity of the grading system?

Even bigger Kudos if he'll crack the case and rip the card in half.
