The one that got away, kinda

I was in on the bidding on this to $565. I don't mind losing when it goes way more than anticipated, so no biggie.

Jackie Robinson 1950: $673

Is it really that much better than this one?

Jackie Robinson 1950: $515

I like the first one better. But not at a 30%+ premium. I'd pay about 10% more for it, so right in line with your bid.

Did you get the 515 or just a comp?

I also feel much better after losing an auction when the final price is far beyond what I was willing to spend.

This would be a cool idea for a new thread; the ones that got away! cards we regret not going after.

I didn't get the other one at $515. I just check previous auctions to gauge how much particular cards are going for.
