Here are the color test prints built as cards. Technically, I haven't cracked and built the actual customs, but couldn't resist showing these off now.

Jeff ... they look AMAZING! Can't wait to see them slabbed.

BTW ... do you show PSA the current slabs before cracking, so you KNOW that they will slab the cards as AUTHENTIC? No way you can take a chance with autos as expensive as these.

    Thanks everyone!

Thats actually the reason why I haven't cracked them out yet.
I am still working that out with them as to the best way to do it. I may need to send in for a full cert letter before I crack them to assist in ensuring they get slabbed again.

I agree...they look awsome but it seems a little risky.

Those are fantastic and centerpieces for sure! Wouldn't PSA just reslab them for you since the autographs have already been authenticated?

Just found out that both customs have been authenticated and slabbed! Will be a week or so before I get them in hand. Will have scans of the actual customs then.
Despite being previously slabbed, I was real nervous about getting bad news. Now that thats over, I need a drink.
    image

Also, this is coming in the mail today, will be going to PSA for 1st slabbing, then sliced and diced into a custom.

    Both look great, nice work.

The only thing, and it's nit picking I guess, is that Clemente was not killed mid-career (unless I'm taking it too literally and it is just another way of saying during his career).

These are incredible! Hate to be that guy but... Wagner was a Shortstop, not a 2nd Baseman.

Just wanted to take a minute to say how nice I think this looks. I know customs aren't everyone's cup of tea but this really does present it better than the album page alone previously. I was the seller of this Jackie on ebay, I contemplated matting and framing it first, and I think it turned out great and I am glad that you are pleased with it.

Great, professional work...has me trying to think of some signatures to let you work on (even tho I'm not into those...your work is that impressive)

whats the best way to obtain cuts of, say, MLB stars (authentic of course)?

    It really depends.

High end are probably best bought already slabbed cuts from any auction house/dealer.

Modern stars are tougher, because lots of them refuse to sign ICs. You could find ugly pack inserted autos to use to make nicer card out of.

Most anything else can be found on eBay or from other dealers. Just need to research the signature and make a smart decision.
