German States - Stolberg NEWP

Just got this one in the Heritage weekly, it might not look like much but these are extremely tough coins in medium to high grade. This one is a 1790 2/3 Taler in NGC 53, the only one graded for the date, mostly these seem to be available pretty beat up when I look at them raw in European auctions. I only collect these for the red stag by the way. This also shows you have to look at everything, this was in a lot with an extremely corroded Silesia 6k, listed as "A pair of certified coins of Silesia and Stolberg". Normally I don't even bother looking at the lots but for some reason I did on this one.

Very nice Jeff. It still amazes me what affordable history you can hold in your hands in World coinage when compared with 19th century US coinage.

Here's the " VF environmental damage" Silesia 6K that was in the lot, rode hard and put away wet I think you could call this.
