Need a collection estimate...

I was offered to buy a guy's complete collection. I haven't seen it yet, and this isn't a complete list. I have an idea of what is a fair price but I'd like to know if I'm ballpark. For those that buy up collections, I thought maybe you could help. Thanks in advance! -Corey

Guess it depends on 56 Robinson condition. But honestly $100 would be my bid.

Ps McGwire would be 85 topps

If looking to resell (and excluding vintage and 86T FB set), I'd say ballpark of $150. For the vintage, it all depends on condition (56 Jackie could be a $100 card in VG-EX or $1000 in NM-MT). Check eBay completed listings for what you think it will grade and offer 50%ish. For the 86T FB, totally depends what cards are missing. I've seen partial sets w/o Rice & Young go in the $30 range.

Depending on a lot of things, including conditions of the key cards, whether the stars are included in the 86 FB set or just commons, the ebay sell value on everything would range in the $300-$400 range, but since a lot of the information is unknown, if all the cards we the average condition found nowadays and you were wanting them to resell, you couldnt go much over $150-$200 without creating more work than its worth since the majority of the items are in the $5-$10 range. If you wanted them for your collection, then you might be ok at $250 since the resale value isnt as important
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I was guessing around $200 as well. I would most likely be reselling a lot of it. Thanks.

    $125
  • I'd start with a bottom "take off your hands" price of $200. Then, adjust your price accordingly from there if it turns out a few are potential blazers that could grade high.

Since they listed the kmart limited edition packs, i doubt what they haven't listed yet is any hidden treasure.

Good luck! If you have time to break it down and sell it, there's some cash to be made.
Interested in higher grade vintage cards. Aren't we all. image

If it's a craiglist ad just make sure to take the normal precautions.
