  • You are all wrong in how has the NUMBER ONE SET LOOK AT( EBLIII COLLECTION ) he just doesn't want to be in number one for some reason , he has 3 PROOF 70's 1987 - 1992 - 1994 and when he puts the 2001 that he has in his folder how is anyone going to TOP his set . I offered $1000.00 for the 1998 Proof70 that DENNIS listed as going to be for sale and he man said that it was already sold and that was the same day DENNIS sent me a PM giving me the mans name and email address 3 hours later he emailed me and said that it had been sold . This set is now #29 on the Current list and #30 on the All Time list .

    Hi MAC,
I also called on that coin, the seller said it was sold . I asked how much? he said under $2,000 . I also received a E mail from a guy who said he had that coin and wanted to sell it for $1900.00 Did you get a E mail also? It just didnt sound right to me .

The # 1 set I see has only one PR70 In it ,Its the 95W .

I love the 70 grade- don't get me wrong, but what is the difference between a PR69DCAM and a PR70DCAM? I ask in all sincerity.

  • No I didn't get anything else about the coin , I did P.M. DENNIS and told him that I would have given $1750.00 - $2000.00 for it ,at that time because I had just sold better than $5000.00 worth of proof and mint sets but I sent better than $4000.00 to TULVING for coins to put in my other sets . And the rest went to Mad Mike and other dealers for coins to build my sets with . So I couldn't buy it now if he offered it to me .

This was something I thought long and hard about before I sold off my SAE collection. Mine were MS not Proof, but the same thinking applies. It's a scary thought that I could buy an entire set of NGC SAE's in MS69 for what one of my PCGS coins sold for and I myself would probably not be able to tell the difference.

But before anyone freaks.... I didn't sell my set to go NGC. I needed the money somewhere other than coins. (Which I know is also hard for some to understand image ).

  • Mike ,
Not a whole lot on some of them I have some MS69's that look better than some MS70's that I have seen and one that I own but it's not PCGS and if you have the money you spent it and 69'S AND 70's put the next man on top of the 67's and 68's . Just like your coin helped my set which should be done in the next 2 weeks if my coins all come in !!!
