Booking a hotel to the May PCGS Vegas show.

Before I book my airfare to my first-ever PCGS invitational show I want to be sure I'm gonna have a hotel room as well. I've heard great things about the venue and I'm just curious if anybody knows when they're going to be posting a link so that I can book a hotel at the same time is my flight?

Its held at the Palazzo/ Venetian..............Can stay at either. Not sure if they have any hotel specials for the show. The "show" will take less then an hour to view. Can view the Legend auction coins and do on site grading and LOTS of socializing.

Wynn is right across the street on the odd chance there are no rooms. Mirage and Treasure Island as well...

The event in May will once again be at The Venetian. I assure you that you will like the venue and the hotel. It is one of the several 5-diamond properties on the Strip. If not the Wynn is across the street immediately north.

Between the two, I prefer the Palazzo, but there about the same. The hotel does have an airport shuttle for a nominal charge if you don't want to rent a car. There is a shopping mall across the street that you have take the pedestrian bridges to so you are off the strip and its crazy drivers. The nice thing about this hotel is that its all connected on a non-smoking floor over the casino areas that has several, albeit often expensive shops and restaurants on.

You can check the hotel website online. They are always running specials, and you may want to book a package with shows or other stuff thrown in.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board considers the Wynn and Encore at Wynn to be one single property. They also consider The Venetian and Palazzo to be one single property. So do I.

I've only made two trips in my life to Vegas. Both were frightening. Not the trips. The women.

I do agree the Palazzo is slightly nicer than The Venetian and with better views. If the Wynn and Venetian seem too expensive an excellent more affordable alternative is The Mirage, which is across the street.

    Sounds like fun.

Does anyone know when the website will start to let you book the hotels? The rate seems great but you can't book for May.

I can't believe how ghetto vegas is getting, bums and street performers who don't take no for an answer, when did that happen?

I was going to order a whiskey at the bar at the Encore. But then I heard The Nevada Gaming Control Board considers whiskey and wine to be the same drink. So now... so do I.

    Sorry Wei -- I couldn't resist.

You gotta break free of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and their opinions. They are just bullies.
