I'm getting sick of the micromanagement that sellers have to put up with on Ebay of late. I picked up a defect on one account , and I may have a bunch coming on another account .
The defect apparently is for an item not received even though it actually was received . It says on my listing economy shipping 2 to 13 days business days for delivery so technically I'm still within my window. Ebay however told the buyer to expect it on the 17th for some reason. It sold on the 9th ,it was mailed first class on the 11th and the buyer clicked the wheres my item button on the 18th . On the 19th I get a message the case is closed buyer received item. Today I see I have a defect over it.
Meanwhile I have 5 or 6 packages overdue on another account one , a priority flat rate is 8 days in transit and counting. If every one of those buyers clicks wheres my item not only is my top rated status on that account gone but my account itself might be as well
This defect policy is insane is anyone else having issues because of the weather and if so have they managed to get the defects removed?
The ever so helpful Ebay customer servant said because it was received after the ebay provided date of the 17th the defect can't be removed. If I call again will I get a different rep and a different story?

Ebay should really quit posting a delivery date that their software calculates based on seller's shipping method and handling time. These two items are provided by the seller in the listing and are enough to give the buyer a good idea of when to expect delivery. Point that out to the supervisor as well. Enough complaints, maybe they will remove it.

I stopped at a postal hub yesterday for an express that would not be delivered on time to me, but was able to pick it up by closing. The counter lady said that 10 postal workers out of around 70 at their hub had called in sick. It is amazing they get as many parcels delivered on time as they do.
