75 topps regular vs mini

Are the same "tough" cards in the mini set, the same in the regular set? red/yellow and green/yellow combo's, etc...

Does the regular set match print quality like the minis: Washington and Davis with snow, various red/yellow combo short out of the pack, centering issues with Tanana, Robinson, Giusti, etc...?

Thanks,

David (LD_Ferg)

I believe that to be the case, but since my knowledge of mini's is limited to this board, I will let the experts chime in.

In some cases, yes, but there are more toughies in the mini set than in the regular set, generally speaking.

Grote - what is the main reason for the amount of 75 minis available out there unopened versus say regular 75 Topps, 74 Topps, 76.... Seems as if 75 minis can be found where 74-76 Topps regular is pretty tough. I have seen boxes of 76 for sale from time to time, and despite the lack of rookie stars in 76 (Eckersley and the second year Brett are the two biggies) it sells for 50-70% more than 75 minis. I know they were distributed in CA and Michigan but any other reason that the amount left unopened remains decent compared to other years? Thank you.

Thank you for the link and that was very good info. Funny thing is the article was dated 2008 and the concern was they would be very low soon, yet these have been available for sale if someone wants them for $3k or so. Think I will grab 1-2 of these this year along with a 76 box and put them back.
