How do you tell VAM-6A from 6B? Should 6B show no evidence of an S? And if so, how do you explain this coin?
I see other examples with a faint S attributed as 6B in CoinFacts; Are these all misattributions or is there actually no die state that is missing an S completely, and the "No S" title is just a misnomer?

Edit to add that is a nice hit list 40 find for the junk box and I am not sure if PCGS has any graded in your Morgans condition.
<< <i>Hey Brian yours is the 6A as the 6B has the mint mark filled in and the D of Dollar will show weakness on the D at the upper right hand side from the die being worked on. If you see them side by side you can see the difference right away. The mintmark area of the 6B also looks like some one may have messed with it but it was done at the mint and sometimes even shows a little bit of a bump but no S.

The eBay coin I linked in my OP does not show weakness at DOLLAR, yet it is certified and attributed as VAM-6B by PCGS.
Dam fingers edit to add: Mistakes in labeling happen and many series have the same reference number so it should be no big deal to get it reholdered.
