First two posts went blank???

I have this 1984 quarter I got 2 years ago it seemed thin. Now has stated to corrode n rust. any ideas looks like missing clad based on so thin.

The nickel I had for some time but it has a bluish hue like a satin glaze on it

    The quarter looks to be acid treated...not a mint error, and is essentially worthless.

    The nickel looks like it might be a proof. Worth maybe $.50 depending on the overall condition.

    This is what I posed in one of the other posts. They are showing for me...

    "The quarter had an acid bath. See if you can spend it somewhere. Otherwise, might as well throw it away, as it is essentially garbage. The bank might take it, I don't know.

    The nickel is just a proof nickel. Nothing special about it.
