I have this 1984 quarter I got 2 years ago it seemed thin. Now has stated to corrode n rust. any ideas looks like missing clad based on so thin.

The nickel I had for some time but it has a bluish hue like a satin glaze on it

thanks in advance

The quarter had an acid bath. See if you can spend it somewhere. Otherwise, might as well throw it away, as it is essentially garbage. The bank might take it, I don't know.

The nickel is just a proof nickel. Nothing special about it.

    I hope this helps.

    Exactly what Rampage said...

    Quarter - acid
Nickel - proof....that year, in particular, is known to get bluish tint/toning.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

the rims are missing too - almost to the words, I don't think it would work in a vending machine.
