Selling the coin not the plastic is the hard part.

I agree with you on this. PCGS plastic is an easy sell almost always.

ANY coin is an easy sell if you price it low enough. A low end coin, or one with somewhat below average to negative eye appeal is a hard sell regardless of the holder. It still comes down to price.

Selling the coin for more than you bought it for (as a collector) is even harder!

The real problem is leaving this to my kids. If they are not in PCGS or NGC, I can give you a list of many a piranha around here that will eat them alive, without them knowing what they are. The only way they will know what they are, is if they are in a respectable plastic tomb, with instructions from Dad on where to look up the ballpark value.

    You took me seriously before?

It goes like this....... The other day I notice the forum rules aren't stuck anymore. I happen to click on them, and read them for maybe the second time ever. Funny thing..... They say that a person's signline has to fit on a single line. So, being an overly obedient forumite, I edit my sigline. Doing that somehow poofed my avatar. I spend something like 18 hours trying to find it in the huge pile of defunct and active avatars and it just isn't there. The option to upload it again is off at present. I tried on three different browsers.

But seriously, I'd rather have no avatar than a Washington Redskins avatar.... Come to think of it, I did see a big blue & white star I could use..... image

Sure he does--it's been rendered invisible by a cloaking device.

  • Hey an avatar is supposed to invoke an online personality or correlate to the user, I guess I am trying to invoke a consistant level of mediocrity despite ones expenditures. Actually come to think of it that does reflect my collection pretty well
