Beckett registry question

Sine we all know that the PSA registry is so strong and very influential in card pricing, will the Beckett registry ever make a difference, even if its not up to the PSA influence?
Work hard and you will succeed!!

Set registries simply reflect what collectors out there are collecting. Collectors are free to choose to collect whatever they want and PSA, Beckett, and SGC give them a nice place to keep track and share what they choose to collect. The set registries don't lie and will show exactly where there's lots of interest from collectors. For the Beckett registry to have an influence on pricing there would have to be demand from actual collectors participating in the registry, and not just from hype from sellers trying to sell you Beckett cards.

I would imagine that, in time, the Beckett player registries will be influential. Seems like the majority of modern collectors go with BGS and the majority of modern collectors are more inclined to collect a player set as opposed to a specific brand/year. I simply don't see Beckett being able to catch up to PSA for pre-1995 sets nor do I foresee modern collectors going after an entire set, including commons. Why collect a 400-500 card set when you can collector 400-500 cards of your favorite player every year?
