who is waiting on loggage?

received Feb 4th for mine..

I didn't put anything on the box because it was a 50 day special, so I figured what was the point?
apparently that matters per customer service - just so you guys know.

I guess they move unmarked boxes to the end of the line? imageimage

Mine was received on the 9th and logged on the 10th. If they go out of their way to tell you multiple times in ALL CAPS to mark the service level in several places on the outside of the box, I'm guessing that it is important to them.

my point is that, even if you have a submission under the longest turn around they offer, which would negate a need
to put a service level on the box, it still makes a difference, I am happy your got logged in fast, I usually have good loggage times
when I submit faster sub levels and mark it as such. I was letting others know.
  • From multiple reports, PSA has been slower than usual with loggage. 7-10 business days for many.

I think that was a poor assumption on your part. They want it written for a reason, no matter how many days it is. When a package comes in unmarked, they don't know if it's a 3-day submission, 50-day submission, or a part for the copy machine. As they say on their site, if you don't mark it, your order will be delayed.

In any event, best wishes on your loggage and the subsequent grades.

I have never experienced any correlation between loggage times and writing service level on the package. I have forgotten to do it and have gotten loggage in a couple of days and I have written it on the box and had it take a week or more.

  • I had three submissions received on January 30, all Janaury specials. Two were 30 day, one was 50 day.

One was logged February 7, the other two were logged February 9.

The first popped February 13, the second popped February 16 (although I have yet to get an email).

The Tallboys submission that included Red Man tobacco and Kahns hot dog cards has not popped.

Interesting...PSA must have been working on Presidents Day (the 16th). I have two 30 day submissions that were both logged before yours (one on 1/20 and the other on 2/6) and have yet to pop. Funny how it works sometimes. How were your results?
  • I was pleasantly surprised to get the pop as soon as I did. I don't think any of us can understand the timing.

Overall results were meh. A lot more cards came in lower than I thought, even a few at 2 or 2.5 below. I really want to look hard at those when I get them. Handful some come in 1 higher than I thought they would - nice surprises, especially with the Payton.

A lot of the 1952/53 cards were bought in the late 80's off a friend of my father who had collected them as a youngster. I remember selling off a handful of duplicates to help finance the purchase, including a couple of 1952 Topps Gil Hodges. (I had the one I kept graded as part of my collectors club 15 coupon - it was a 7)

I got loggage yesterday on mine,

it is just the relief of knowing that they are there regardless of what the delivery confirmation says
I always feel a huge sigh of relief
