1986 Fleer basketball box?

I noticed a 1986 fleer basketball box listed on eBay along with the 87 and 88. All three were authenticated by BBCE. With the discussions about the scarcity of the 86 box, I'm surprised someone hasn't splurged on this box. Is there any particular reason other than price as to why this box hasn't sold?

  • I can add that the seller is 100% legit! Big Time unopened collector.

Link? I couldn't find it. Not bidding, but I'd like to follow that one.

This 86 box has been for sale by the seller since shortly after the National. He has a lot of nice boxes but prices are high.

I thought I read on here these generally went for over $300 and one recently went for over $600. If so I wonder why this seller has prices so high on other items and let this one go for $250.

A bunch have been sold here in the $250-300 range recently. I don't think $250 is a big bargain for them.
  • Completely legit seller, a lot of nice stuff. I'm one of the guys that firmly believe that box and lots of others by the way are way over priced.

Maybe because of the condition of the box and it is not BBCE wrapped.

Did ebay stop showing the number of offers made? It is hard to believe that nobody has made an offer....and come to think of it, its has been a while since I have seen a "best offer" auction with that "1 offer" or "2 offers" designation you would typically see.

I'm not sure either, but I was just wondering the same thing today. It has been awhile since I've seen the number of offers listed.

They stopped showing the number of offers a few months ago. I think that if you make an offer it shows the number of"competing offers"
