Resealed Boxes On Ebay Now

Just wanted to steer everyone clear of a couple "unopened" football boxes that have just been listed on Ebay. I bought the 1980 and 1982 boxes from this seller and both were rejected by BBCE. I didn't buy them through Ebay but did go through Paypal. The seller would not agree to a refund and I had to fight with Paypal to get my money back. I bought them in separate transactions and Paypal allowed my claim on one and rejected the other. After many calls to Paypal and being told that the denied claim would be reversed I was told to return both boxes in separate shipments. I was required to call Paypal at each step in the return process. When the USPS site showed the boxes as being delivered I called and was told that I would get my refunds. Well, I only got the refund for the claim that was originally allowed. The other was denied again. I was told by 3 different people at Paypal within about 2 hours that they would process my refund and I would get email confirmation within a few minutes. My 4th call I immediately asked for a supervisor. After about 5 minutes he came on the line and said that he knew why I was calling. He put the money back in my account but I never got an email saying the claim was found in my favor and there is nothing on my Paypal that says the payment was refunded from the seller. The first refund says REVERSAL. The second shows up on my balance but doesn't show anything in the transaction column. It seems like they still let the seller keep the money and Paypal paid me just to shut me up. The seller got both boxes back and a over half the money I sent. The 1982 football pack packs were part of our transaction too.
Sorry for the long post but I thought people should know what kind of guy this seller is.

Edit to add: I just called Paypal again and was told that even though it doesn't show on my Paypal account, Paypal did take the money back from the seller in both claims. They also said that there was nothing they could do about the boxes being listed on Ebay now.

Thanks for the details. However, since it appears that he was paid on one of the transactions, can you hit him with a neg?

These weren't Ebay transactions. I bought another box from this guy that was a good box.

It's interesting the seller has most of his other boxes for sale wrapped by BBCE

I just looked at the BBCE wrapped 1986 football box he has listed. He offered it to me on Jan 28th but I never responded because I had just found out that the other boxes were bad. When he offered it to me it was not BBCE wrapped.
