OC Designation

Just wanted to know what the opinion was on the OC designation is. If 9OC would actually be PSA 7? How much do collectors look at that on a real nice looking card? Thanks.

Registry builders will look at a 9(oc) as a 7 because that is the value it has for their set. Other collectors may look at just eye appeal of the card and ignore the (OC).

Thanks for your help, I was sort of thinking the same thing.

I agree with the above, but I also think half the people would think the opposite way. The people you mentioned who don't care about centering would be thrilled to get a "9" for the price of a "7". For people like me who look at centering first, I'd rather pay for a nicely centered "7" with a soft corner or two as opposed to a 9 o/c. The good thing though, is that there are plenty of eyes for all different conditioned cards!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

The pop report probably will tell you alot. A psa 9oc 1976 brett will bring multiples of a psa 7. I would think a 1964 rose psa 9oc would kill a psa 7.
