I'm a long time collector who also enjoys making double sided quarter rings. I've been making rings for many years now, but just recently decided to sell them as a side business. My Ebay name is, "change2treasure", and I'm listing the rings there for, $34.95. I've been buying and selling since 1999 with over 400 feedback, 100% positive. I'm also a long time lurker here on the forums.

    Can you do any coin or just quarters ? And does the quarters have to be silver ? Can you do clad ?

    Thanks for the questions and comments! I work best with quarter size coins at this time, but I'm hoping to expand in the near future. So far I've had great success with both silver and clad, foreign and domestic image. The clad are nice, but, depending on the acidity level of your skin, they do tend to leave a darkish tint on your finger. It's harmless, however, and easy to wash off. I try to mitigate it by applying 2 lacquer coats to the finished ring. Here's a 1980 proof example

    I had a Morgan Dollar ring years ago, but it was a bit bigger than I liked, kind of like wearing an all around class ring - this one is almost exactly the size of my wedding band, and is just what I was looking for.

    I really like the way that the band of their ring is rounded! It's a technique that I've learned and have started to incorporate in some of my ring designs as well. I don't have a picture of one of those quite yet, but in the spirit of Crocodile Dundee. . . that's not a ring, this is a ring! Ha ha, I'm only joking image.
