1988 Action Packed Baseball Promos -- PSA Question

I just got my submission back from PSA, with copies of Ozzie Smith, Wade Boggs, Andre Dawson, and Don Mattingly, all very sharp.

The strange thing is, they were all graded "Authentic" with no numerical grade. I know these are rare, but in the Pop Report it appears they have given grades in the past. Anyone know why they would stop assigning number grades to a certain card?
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

If these were released only as sheets from the factory and then cut after market, that is how PSA is handling these types of promos/proofs now. Same thing with all of the handcut proofs from discs and buttons from the 80s. They graded them at one point then decided to just slab them as authentic.

If they weren't cut aftermarket than I have no answer for you.

Thanks for the feedback . I have no idea How these were originally distributed but I have had them for at least 15 years .
It does make for an interesting situation for a set collector . I'm sure some people have numerical grades on their copies and have them in their sets.

I have a Mattingly '88 Action Packed I was going to submit in the future and saw that they were graded before.. So I may hold off now since I have many cards that can only be authenticated.
