Major Theft

Fayette County, Texas Investigators are investigating a theft of over 1000 PCGS and NGC graded gold coins valued in excess of one million dollars.

A partial listing includes:
20 - 1924 St.Gaudens NGC MS65
20 - 1927 St.Gaudens PCGS MS65
21 - 2011 $25 American Gold Eagle First Strike MS70 PCGS
22 - 2011 American Gold Eagle 4-Piece Set First Strike Set MS70 PCGS
70 - 2011 $25 American Gold Eagle First Strike MS70 PCGS
170 - 2011 $25 American Gold Eagle MS70 NGC
100 - 2011- $50 American Gold Buffalo 10z 24K MS70 Early Release NGC
111 - 2012-W $50 American Gold Eagle First Release MS70 NGC
250 - 2012 $25 American Gold Eagle MS70 NGC
20 - 2013-W $50 American Gold Eagle Early Release MS70 NGC
20 - $50 American Gold Buffalo Chicago ANA Release W/Cert PR70 NGC
The victim has certification numbers on all of the stolen coins.

Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

    KXAN: "Millions in coins stolen from Fayette Co. home"

    LA GRANGE, Texas (KXAN) – One person is in custody and deputies are seeking a second in connection with the theft of several valuable coins from a Fayette County family.

    Deputies tell KXAN the theft was reported on January 30th.

    It wasn’t clear how many coins or what type of coins were taken.

    KXAN News is following the story and will update this article as more information becomes available

    Why people keep such large amounts at home is beyond me.
    All coins kept in bank vaults.

    Sympathy to the victim, but question keeping amounts listed by the OP where it can be ripped.

    Probably a Paul Harvey, "And Now, the Rest of the Story", immediate family member, relative, etc.

    Only about $725,000 or so worth of melt value... even if they paid MS70 retail there aren't "millions" here. Million, perhaps...
