I was shocked this weekend! I heard an announcement Gary Overton had passed at the FUN show while I was leaving the show. I asked a dealer as I was wheeling my stuff out if it was the Gary I thought it was. They told me it was a man in his mid-late 80's and I breathed a sigh of relief. Come to find out this weekend he did pass. I was shocked again. Gary was what I considered a really good friend and enjoyed many show and after show interactions(parties! ) with him. He was a HUGE asset to FUN! as well as other associations. Many know him as SpaceCoast a coin supply dealer which he dispersed recently. I for one will really miss seeing Gary at the shows. He was just the kindda guy you couldn't find a reason not like. Rest in Peace Gary, sounds like you went without pain. You will be missed.

It seems every other week we hear of another great numismatist passing away.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
