I was looking around on ebay a few days ago for a 53 Mantle and came across one that someone colored both of mickey's eyes in with a pen. very sad.

I'll say the top one is a VG/3 the bottom one is VG-Ex/4. Both are awesome cards, Probably my favorite Mantle card ever made.

because of the centering & the surface, I'm going with 3.5 & 4.5

Base on my limited knowledge of this card I would say 3.5 on first and 4 on the second. Two very nice looking cards no matter what the grade. I would be happy to add any one of those to my collection. Nice pickups and love the centering.

There's our winner.

I have a mad compulsion to buy this card whenever it's centered. A nice red corner is a plus. Holding them in hand now and the 3 to my eye is the more attractive card!
