Topps Auto. Redemptions

Acknowledging that I'm highly likely to be screwed....

What is the timeline for contacting Topps about an autograph redemption that has been "Pending" for over a year?

Any good strategies for escalation when they try and replace my redemption with a #/1000 Biff Pocoroba autographed insert?

    I have seen people wait a couple years. Topps will sometimes send an email asking if you want a replacement. I have one pending for 9 months now. I JUST got my Willie Mays that was pending for nearly the same amount of time. I thought for sure I would never see that one.

    Keep your fingers crossed. I hate when they send replacements.
  • I believe they value your card at current market price and offer you something in a similar price range. Best thing is to call them people! Good Luck!

    I purchased the redemptions when the issue came out in Spring 2013.

    So, it's almost been two years....it is a box topper autograph of a HOF'er, #/d to 10. Thus, value is hard to assign to a card like this

    <sigh>

    Yeah, Ive seen fantastic results and I have seen ridiculously bad results on Topps replacements. And there is no negotiating with them.

    I also have had to wait close to a year for willie mays both in 2013 and 2014 heritage...he is the slowest, probably due to him only signing once a year (i heard). But i did get my 2014 willie prior to this year (maybe in november??). Good luck.

    2013 Topps Archives Box Topps Mike Schmidt (1971 Topps Greatest Moments format) -- autographed #/10

    What's weird is that Schmidt has done a huge # of signings with Topps throughout their 2014 issues. Also received some of the other redemptions I had from that set.

    I'm fully prepared to be soured on this experience.
