I just had a some more of my favorite early Bust halves imaged by Lance.
Shouldn't be too hard to attribute these... if it's way too easy for some of you, maybe leave out the Overton #(make it more funfor those who want to look them up...)
and try and guess what PCGS and NGC graded em !

Blued and cracked too!!!
I'll leave the particulars to my friend Lance.
I like both, especially the LDS. I'm a sucker for train-wreck dies.

Lance.
<< <i>I'd grade them 45 and 55. The luster on the NGC coin is spectacular!
Lance. >>
For some reason the later die state tends to have crazy luster. In the Crack thread I posted my PCGS 45 and it has crazy luster for the grade (along with color)

Love the look on the LDS...congrats!
<< <i>40 & 53. Love both of them. >>
same here
And yes, these are indeed the 107 and the 107a...same die marriage, early and late die states.
The early die state 107 (above), despite the many cracks and clashes that already exist, is actually missing several of the cracks listed for the regular 107 die state !
Since the EDS is listed as R4 ( with many cracks already present) and the LDS R1...it's obvious that these dies cranked out a bunch of coins even after they shattered.
Any Prime state examples that exist for this marriage are super rare I've been told.
Also, isn't it curious that both are struck slightly off center in basically the same amount and position ?...
I agree with Lance, 45 and most likely 55...but, the 107a could arguably be uncirculated. The flat areas are definately not worn, just weakly struck
and the luster there looks unbroken to me. Pretty fun coin to look at !
Thanks for playing...
<< <i>Alright, may as well deliver the goods....107 PCGS 40, 107a NGC 58

I guessed the O-107 as a 53 because the photos appeared to hint at decent luster. Wear is close to my example, an NGC50. My coin I may want to call a 45, but I like giving coins a bump for originality
The 107a has complete toning accept for a few high points making graders tend to judge the coin as has having more significant wear than it actually does. Without seeing it in hand it is tough to judge between an AU55 and 58. Great examples of both that I would be proud to own!
