That's not junk wax, THIS is junk wax

Depending on how terrible the game is, I may rip some tonight.

I'll try to post pictures.

Nice. That'll be fun. I have a stack of those MISL cards. For some reason Tatu was in a card saver. I couldn't help but remember Fantasy Island.

    Enjoy!

I opened the 1991/92 Pro Set Series 2 and the 1988-89 Pacific MISL.

The Pro Set had a SHARP Ryan Giggs rookie card. I may have to send this one in - there are two 9s and no 10s.

Also shown is John Harkes. He was the first American to play in England's first division. I think this one is bound for a TTM.

Pacific spared no expense on the 1988/89 MISL cards. As you can see, they just put a "1988/89 Series" sticker over the "Premier Issue" stamp. I can't believe those guys went out of business.

The Pacific cards were not without interest. I did get three complete sets, worth AT LEAST 75 cents each. Players of note:

    - Fernando Clavijo, member of the 1994 US World Cup team and long-time MLS coach/technical director
    - Desmond Armstrong, member of the 1990 US World Cup team
    - Brian Quinn and Alan Mayer, who had multiple US caps
    - Preki, member of the 1998 US World Cup team and scorer of one of the most famous US goals ever (a goal to give the US a 1-0 win over Brazil, preserving what was until last summer the greatest US goal keeping performance ever.)
    - Homer Screws, a guy with a mullet, whose last name is Screws. HIS NAME IS HOMER SCREWS.
