Old Psa Flip to new half grade question

While reading the grading specs for a 1/2 grade higher in the smr, it sounds like if as an example, if a OLD flip PSA card is graded a psa 8 and the centering is near perfect on front and back, the card should receive the 1/2 grade more if sent in for regarding. The price guide stresses the difference between a grade and a 1/2 grade more is in the centering. Has anyone had experience on a grade upgrade recently? Thanks

PSA offered a free re-evaluation when they introduced the half grade. I would think that the most likely candidates would have been sent in then.
My experience is that they give out half grades rarely, even on centered cards.
My last bunch all came back 8's and they looked like 10's except for the slightest touch on one corner.
