New Forbes Article about Latest Baseball Card Bull Market

Here's a short but interesting read. Note the comment about a few eBay wholesalers spending heavy coin and a call out to Love of the Game Auctions.

That's cool-- the EX/5 Mantle he's referencing in the opening line of page 2 is mine; I bought it from Roger after it was graded at that show.

Maybe the dealer pictured on page 2 made enough money to buy himself a belt. He must be a plumber in his day job.

<< <i>Said Brodhead, “if you are in love with this stuff, you cannot be a dealer.” >>

Mr Mint has this as one of his cardinal rules and it definitely is me - the next time I sell something for a profit will be the first time.

    Thanx John.

I love the last line of the article, "if you love this stuff, you cannot be a dealer."

I've bought some raw vintage cards for a real good price in the past, had them graded and could easily "flip" them if I wanted... but I just can't do it.

    Cool article, thanks for posting.

Stone, sorry I just missed your post. But I'm right there with you.
