What was the old eBay anti-counterfeit coin program called?

Working on a story about how the new Collectible Coin Protection Act (sometimes called the new Hobby Protection Act) will affect the sale of counterfeits.

What was the proper name for the program that eBay used to have wherein people could notify them of fakes and a person responsible for doing so would delete them?

    Agree: Ebay has become more hands off as they shed 7% of employees.

    Problem with the old one, from some of the threads I recall, was that some folks in that group either hand vendettas with some folks and pulled auctions, or thought they knew more than they did and didn't want to listen to others....

    If I recall on this one, she let it be known that she was disappointed with the ebay decision concerning her loss of job for this and therefore it wasn't her leaving on her own accord. Most likely, she/her position was let go because of complaints by people trying to do the wrong thing....and having some volume there....so it cost ebay money and they didn't bother to investigate past that small point.

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    This is correct. Judith sent an email to many of us who were regular reporters and it was clear that she was disappointed with Ebay's decision. She argued against it, but $$ won out and her department was terminated.

    Both company decision and personal reasons. People who were invited to help screen reported items under the Coin and Stamp Community Watch groups were part of the EMR (Enhanced Member Reporting) program that she created.
    When in doubt, don't.

    They do/did in sports autographs. I had an autographed baseball consignment bounced erroneously a few years ago.
